ANOTHER Legislator Gets State Job

What a deal.   Cronyism, anyone?  I heard that state Sen. Christine Kaufmann (D-Helena), late of the Montana Human Rights Network, has landed a job at the State Auditor’s office.  I called the Auditor’s office and confirmed it myself.

The Auditor, Monica Lindeen, is a fellow Democrat and former colleague.   Meanwhile, Kaufmann is still in the legislature according to the state web site.   (Can she do that?*)

UPDATE:  So, there was  Kevin Furey, Art Noonan… Who else?  Oh wait, here’s a handy list:

• Rep. Dan Villa , D-Anaconda, by Schweitzer as his education policy adviser.

• Sen. Jesse Laslovich, D-Anaconda, by state Auditor Monica Lindeen as a staff attorney.

• Rep. Dave McAlpin, D-Missoula, by Attorney General Steve Bullock as administrator of the state Crime Lab.

• Rep. Galen Hollenbaugh, D-Helena, by Secretary of State Linda McCulloch as deputy chief of staff.

• Rep. Eve Franklin, D-Great Falls, by Schweitzer as his mental health ombudsman. She is now the governor’s family policy adviser.

• [Sam] Kitzenberg, then R-Glasgow, by Revenue Director Dan Bucks for a management analyst. He has since quit the job.

• Sen. Mike Cooney, D-Helena, by Labor Commissioner Keith Kelly to be administrator of the Business Standards Division. He now heads another division.

Four months after being hired in July 2006, Kitzenberg bolted his party after the election to break a tie in the Senate and give Democrats a 26-24 majority in 2007.

*Yes! Noonan, Laslovich, Hollenbaugh, McAlpine, Kaufmann and Cooney are still in office.  Not that it would affect their votes, eh?

So what? Why can you not see that you are just looking at the reflection in the mirror?

    Thanks for the link, James.

So it’s all about pushing the health care “reform” agenda.

    Gahhhhh….

And Mark, read the Charles Johnson story James linked. It’s not a mirror image.

Isn’t it amazing that when the dark side, aka, the evil ones, dabble in this sort of cronyism, you can hear a pin drop in the halls of so called responsible journalism. We have Rep Dave McAlpin as the Crime Lab administrator, who wouldn’t know the difference between an ameba, sugar pill or a worm. Some however may be perfectly adapted to their appointments. Rep Villa, an avowed union advocate stirring the pot in education, where the unions continue to attempt to wrest control of local school districts from local taxpayers. Sen. Laslovich, who has a problem deciding where his official residence, is. (Found somewhat innocent by another BS appointee, Comm. of Political Practices, in a complaint about where real home is).
Rep Eve Franklin as the governor’s family policy advisor is suited for her job and the furthering of the far left agenda. She voted against SB 274, (2003 session), a bill to protect the unborn. Lets see, Switcher, Kitzenberg quits his appointment by Comm. Kelly. Figures, he doesn’t know where he belongs. Republican, democrat, independent, who knows.
If the side of light, the Republicans, had made these appointments, the demand and price of ink would have gone through the roof. Ah, but not to worry, the dark side has everyone’s best interest at heart, but only if they can be taxed. These are blatant Chicago pay off tactics; come home to roost here in Montana. And we electors are to blame
